well, to be fair to supergirl, she knew that her identity was exposed the second she didn't care about the fire and plus she probably just assumed it was someone from the DEO whereas flash knew that it was a different earth and confirmed that there was no use of keeping his identity a secret. Plus the superheroes on earth-1 really don't know how to keep a secret identity.
