Former NASA and Apple engineer. Current KZvidr and friend of science.

Answers to some common questions:

1) I studied Mechanical Engineering in School. I did my undergrad at BYU and Masters at USC.
2) I worked for NASA JPL for 9 years, 7 of which were working on the Curiosity Rover (I made a video about it you should def totes watch cause it's probably my favorite of all my videos). Then I created Digital Dudz (made some videos about this too) and eventually sold it after 2 years. Then I worked for Apple in their Special Projects Group doing Product Design as a Mechanical Engineer for 5 years. As of 2019, I just make my monthly KZvid videos.
3) Link to free and therefore substandard build plans for my custom workbench can be found below.
4) I made a 30 Day Creative Engineering Class that teaches my end to end engineering process so you can make stuff too! Check it out here- monthly.com/MarkRober

My son is not on the spectrum but he has a lot of issues. He is super smart, 138 iq as a 9 year old. He has the sensitivity and sound issues but he never meets a stranger. He is the best thing about me!!! You are a great dad.

This is so touching! It's awesome how much our scientific understanding and public perception of autism has transformed over the years. The stigma is wearing away, and this video undoubtedly will expedite it. It takes a lot of courage to share personal information on the internet, and I commend you for it!

When you said you were wrong by a factorof ten percent, did you mean you were RIGHT by a factor of ten percent? Because the weight of the elephant is distributed over a larger area.

It took 15 years for people, including myself, to understand that I'm different. I'm 18 now... Things have yet to change. But I never planned on changing who I am, I fell proud of being autistic, and know how terrifying the word around you can be... Fear of the unknown, fear of other's people reaction of how you act, fear of being attacked by just not understand the others and what you are doing wrong, and many other things... I'm brazilian, and even we are so far away, I fell happy from just seeing your son happy on his little word that he builds around him and the ones he loves, seeing how you take care of him, and how people try to include and understand him. I'm still crying while I write this. Thank you for sharing your story! And thank you for supporting your son! He's already a special kid! And will always be a special human being!

Ok so I’m not very informed about special needs but I do have question so bear with me I was wondering the type of physical actions that some autistic people do like raise there hand to there chest usually brings judgement in public which to me would suck for them so I was wondering if there was someone or a way that would teach them to behave or act in way that they wouldn’t be immediately judged and people gossiping about them to me that would be pure torture
